Looking to seed a new tank with pods, this was a transfer from a EVO 13.5 to the Innovative Marine 50 EXT.


Looking for the best place with the best pods/deal to seed this tank.

It's best to try your local LFS for Tigger pods. I've ordered pods online and quite often they are DOA from various vendors but LFS seem to stock reef nutrition Tigger pods.

I only ever bought 2 x small £ 1.20 bags of copepods but was after tank set up for over a year already and already had lots lots off pods.and only bought as live food treat for fish as easier to get from water column,especially some off my fish that don't actively go hunting for pods.
Imo I'm glad didn't buy any pods to seed tank,as even though I dipped every coral frag going into my tank I got at least 7 different types off pods.
Ampripods.
Munnid isopods
3 different kinds off orthropods.
2 different kinds off copepods but could be more as very hard to make out as super small.
So if dont buy any, you will inevitable get pods in your tank unless got super super agressive coral dip procedure.

Copepods & Amphipods

This is true even if you never seed a single pod they will still make it into your ecosystem. I've got all kinds of little microfauna critters that have hitchhiked their way in somehow.
