I am running a Nuvo 30L so it is 36" long.

I have been using a Jebao SLW-5 but it is starting to get pretty loud as it ramps up and down constantly so I am looking for suggestions for a powerhead for this size tank that wont break the bank. I know I could go with MP10s but I dont really have $600 to spend on powerheads right now.

Would a Gyre work better in this setting?

I use an AI Nero 5, a Hydor, and an MP 10. I have a 65 gallon with sps. Same length as yours. The Nero is not expensive and you can tune it down. I don’t have experience with the Nero 3, but it’s pretty good based on all the information out there.

Jebao ow-25's in my 36x24x12 frag system. Can only run 50%.
I have had these in my 120 and now in my 45 frag system. You cant hear them run. They have been running close to 4 years now.
I have 2 ow-40's in my 120 same.
The ow model is very good and im a Tunze guy with 4 Tunze in my 120.
They have gone through several corraline strippings without failure. A noisy pump is useually impeller related. Calcium buildup in the impeller chamber causes it.

I’m using two jebao sow-8 powerheads and they have been good so far. I think they are a bit more of a narrow flow pattern but still gets the job done. having the different settings and controller on a sub $100 power head is pretty good value to me.

Ai Nero 3

Currently I have 2 from of these in a a 65 that's slowly being built up. One has been running for ~6 months and the other ~2, no issues so far. I also use the jebaos on my nano but it's the sow-4 in my nano, but again no issues after almost a year of run time on that unit either.

May add another down the road, but currently I only run them at ~50% but there's no coral other than a mushroom and zoa frag at the bottom of the tank.

Thanks for all of the feedback

No one has stock of the Nero 3 - I have reached out to a few vendors and all say that they arent sure when AI will be, or if they will be, sending out more.

Looks like the MLW series offers a lot of a cool features and a slim look and the OW and SOW series seem really reliable! So I may try one of these options.

I have a 36 in tank, and i am using jebaos MLW 20. So far i love them. Insane amounts of flow.
Got an MLW20 in today and love the look and flow. Also it is really quiet. Only issue is connecting it to the app.

I am running the new iOS and I made sure I was on my 2.4 network but every time I try to go through the setup it fails and I also get "Unknown SSID" when going through the setup. Any idea how to fix this or did you have any issues adding to the app?
