Hey all, so I recently figured out the reason my tank had been cloudy was the lack of water circulation in the tank. Now that I know this I am looking for some good powerheads. Anybody know of good ones for the Fluval Evo 13.5? Thanks!

I honestly think a Nero 3 is a great option! I run one in my UNS 5N Macroalgae system!

A single jebao slw-5 or slw-10 is good budget option. I currently have the slw-10 in my waterbox mini pen 15 and it works great. The slw series is basically a nero 3/5 knockoff but they do work and will save you some $$.

Skip out of a powerhead and upgrade the pump to a MJ1200 or Sicee .5 or 1.0. Get a random flow generator and problem solved without cluttering the tiny display.
÷ 1 Yep, much cleaner look for a small tank and Sicce's are adjustable

Random flow generator is compatible with Evo 13.5? What model?

Currently using the Aqamai KPS. Quiet and enough power to push water for the Fluval 13.5. Highly underrated pump for nano setups.

Your tank wasn’t cloudy because of the power head. It is because of a bacterial bloom. Any power head 250gph is fine also a sicce 1.0 return helps a lot as well

I use the hygger mini wave maker, I love it and it's alittle cheaper then the others.
I forgot to put before I also use the sicce .5 and honestly if I had the wave maker and pump full bast it'd be way to much flow. I use 2 1/4in rfgs, I tried just one single 1/2in and felt like it just wasn't working right for me the return was pushing out more water then I wanted.

What setting do you run your 5 on I have mine in 13.5 fluval and seems to be strong even on low.

Sorry to jump on this thread and reopen it. I have a sicce 1.0 with 2 random flow generators. I feel like there is stagnant water on the opposite side from the pump. Does anyone without a powerhead have this issue?
I'm thinking about adding a few pieces of loc line to one leg hoping the flow reaches that side. Any opinions?
Thanks
