Best protein skimmer go.......

I am looking for a new protein skimmer what are some good recommendations. 110 gallon tank with sump. I have a coralife 125 super skimmer now and it is a tight fit and also not very happy with it because once I get it dialed in good . I am not sure how these footprint measurements work. I like and have heard many good things about the octopus but its size worries me about fitting in my sump.

Gotta tell us the dimensions of the skimmer section in ur sump...

The first chamber is 14.5 by 12 but there is also the overflow box at the top so it is hard to judge if it slopes up then it would work with a big base. My corelife is the 125 and it is a tight fit. It is

5.00"x7.25"x24.50" [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]according[/FONT] to the site.​

It looks like the extreme xs 160 would probably work but it is rated for a 160 gallon and I have heard you should get it almost double the tank recomendations as in my 110 gallon tank would need like a 200 gallon rated skimmer is this true?
