I'd like people's opinions on the best pump for a water mixing station. I'm trying to limit power consumption so will the pump be able to handle multiple on/off throughout the day? Should I just use the pump during initial mixing and just use a power head to stir the water?

I'd like to use 30 gallon drums (if I can find them) but might settle for the 55 gallon drums.

Thanks for your inputs.

I use a hydro koralia power head 1400 evo. I think it only uses 6watts. About 20 minutes before I am going to change water I turn my heater on.

I use a Panworld 40PX = 480 gph which is plenty for a closed loop system that i run on my mixing station.
