I would like to hear everyone thoughts on what would be the best pump for a 40 gallon breeder. I plan on a few beginner corals with an anemone in the tank. A light bio-load with a pair of clown fish, yellow blenny, and probably a diamond back goby. I lean towards an MP40, would one be enough? Also, is there a cheaper route to go that is just as good?

The Jebao OW series is very good! They have stepped up flow and quality.

Have had no issues with the Jebao pumps..for the price I think they are good, controllable and solid units.

Yeah I didn't want to break the bank and go MP10, I went with one RW-4 and one RW-8.

I had read where they are quieter than the MP10 as well.

Post an update when you get them running. I am thinking of getting two of the OW for my 55 hex tank. Thinking the OW25.

Update. I like the pumps. However on the RW-8. I have it set at a lower speed. Even with the special grade arga live ! It is blowing sand a little so turned it down some. Tank is up and running. I’m super excited about this adventure. Now it’s chill and wait for cycle to do its thing.
