Best pumps to add flow to sump?

I don't have a sump yet but do have a aio. I leave it becuse most of it is bio and will just decay.

Leave it, and just clean some out very occasionally (years for myself). Fish poop is an important part of the carbonate cycle in reef systems. I also wouldn't bother with any kind of mechanical filtration.

Do you have filter socks or reef mat?
I only use small powerhead in the area where I dose to disperse additives.
I vacuum my sump occasionally.
