One that has a valve to control the water speed. It depends on how big your tank is, most reactors are oversize for carbon and GFO I like reactors that can be hung on side of a tank/or inside.

No manifold but I do plan to incorporate one. Right now I just have a pump with a tee to an algae reactor and a phosban 150.

I use the AquaMaxx reactor. It comes with two coarse filter sponges, then I add just a little extra filter floss to catch anything that gets through the sponges.

I use an aquamax small for my 120 with 40 breeder sump.
It holds about a cup and 1/2 of Rox 0.8.
Flow is adjistable amd its easy to replace media and clean.

Thank you all for your help. I have decided to keep it simple stupid and just add a draw string style bag to the end of the discharge line to act as a discharge filter. This way if any carbon does escape the reactor it will hopefully be caught by the media bag.
