Best Reccomendations for fuge lights?

Getting ready to build another turf scrubber. Focusing primarily on red light.
Need one that's not too powerful, that doesn't burn too hot as I'm going to be basicly enclosing the lamp side for 0 over spill if possible.
Shooting for the floater type ATS. Lamp sitting on top of box sealed in with aquarium sealant or something else not sure yet.
Curious if they make a lamp specifically for purpose with some type of grommet that can be sealed?

I think people use the acke lights but I would look into waterproof ones in case you are floating the device. Interesting products on amazon if you search up led flood lights that might do the trick

I'm not claiming to be a refugium lighting expert.. been in the hobby ~15 years. I've used, cfl, t5, black box leds, par 38 bulbs, and even once used a 600w halide on a display refugium with mangroves.

Last year one of the black boxs died (had 2 on the fuge). Was looking at kessils and other fancy lights. I bought off of Amazon the 450W led grow light waterproof from Bozily for ~$70. Plugged that into my Kasa smart strip and it's been great. It replaced both the black boxes. It's been the best light I've ever used. It's compact, doesn't get hot, silent, and grows algae better than any other light I've used save the 600w halide. When it dies, I'm getting another for sure. I'm certain there are better options out there... Certainly hits my bang for the buck tho.

Nice its my first plunge into the fuge light world.
Don't think I need that much lamp im most likely gonna build something 1'x1'. Maybe use some kind of smaller heavy duty tote that I can clamp. Something strong enough to hold up a more compact light on top or side of it.

I wonder how this would fare all sealed up in a box with water splashing on it lol. Appreciate the input but looking to make sealed box with waterproof lamp.

Lol I'm cheap mine are holding up well in a ventilated fixture with glass to prevent splashing but its an led with plastic protecting the diode. I would not use them where they get splashed. They generate next to no heat so they do well sealed up.

Santa Monica sells the LED strip lights used in the Rain ATS as a set of 4 or 2 with a power supply, and they are designed to be submersible. I just ordered some for my ATS project.
