We recently found an excellent reef documentary we wanted to share. It is exclusively about the marine life of burma and thailand and is extremely detailed. So many shows show the same animals over and over, but this one shows you each type of every species that occurs in the area. Morays have an extremely informative appearance, and several aquarium species come up. When they show a species of fish, they show each type and explain the behavior differences, mating habits, sleeping habits, cooperative partnerships, etc. Covered fish, coral, shellfish of all type, eels, snakes slug etc etc etc. Very pleasant. There is a grouper named freddy that likes to visit with divers and be pet.... life goal. Do you watch many coral reef documentaries? What are your favorites?

Thanks for posting this video, it got my 6 year old to sit still for almost 2 hours while we watched it! When it was over she looked at me and asked when we could dress up like ninjas and swim with all the fish.

I love the Blue Planet series as well. Now I'm gonna sit here and watch this one XD

Love these flicks. Watch um over n over. I am a huge fan of planet earths red sea 3d dive. Has a scene of a diver swimming over a plating acro colony that stretchs 2-3 times the divers length - amazing shot. Also was introduced to another sweet one we watched at our club meeting last friday called richs of the reef. All about reefs. Very informative, and it talks about how hybrid corals come about. Might answer a question for many when they ask "are these the same coral - they look so alike"

NetFlix has one available. Watched it last night and it was fantastic!!! It is a documentary that follows oceanographer Sylvia Earle. It's called Mission Blue. I highly recommend every reefer and non watch it!!!

OOOOOOO never heard of that one!! Will be watching so on. we're watching Murky Waters right now it's awesome

Mission Blue and Planet Ocean on Netflix are pretty good. Planet Ocean doesn't have the HD quality of Blue Planet, but still good none the less. BP seems to be the standard for marine documentaries.

Just noticed Nanareefer mentioned Mission Blue. :)

I think the vids I posted here are the new standard for us. I honestly can't believe the level of info about their behaviors and needs. You would think they were trying to help out aquarists LOL I do love blue planet though.
