Best results for zoa color?

I bought some zoas few months back and still holding good color but can tell they lost a lil bit. What are the ways yal are keeping good coloration in zoas? Thank

Food and light are what they need in my opinion. I spot feed mine with pump and filter off twice a week.
Give it a shot and see if they perk up.

I think most like higher light, especially once with brighter colors like orange/yellow. I have a few colonies where some polyps don’t get as much light as others and they don’t have as bright/vibrant of color. In some cases they can even look on the brown side without enough light, my utter chaos is like that.

I've had zoas, like electric oompa loompa and god of war, actually lose color with higher light. When I placed them lower they have the best color they have ever had. Really depends on the zoa species. I'd try higher, if they dont start to color up in a week or two or look worse, try lower.

Well they guy I bought them from keep them on bottom of his tank and we have same exact tank. We were both running radion but I only had 1 instead of 2. I just bought 2 kessil 360s so hopefully they start to gain some color with more light now

for sure they do. I find in low light the stalks get thin and the heads get smaller around. add intense light and they sit completely flat but look thin and empty. the perfect amount of light gives you a nice, uniform mat of polyps.

Steve I have a reefer 250 as well with 2 ai primes what kind of light schedule do you use for your tank ? I am currently following Nano Karens schedule where the lights are only about 50% I have a mixed reef just not sure if I have the lights strong enough

nutrients nutrients and nutrients...did I mention nutrients?? Turn your skimmer off as well if you don't need it

I've always noticed faded colors when NO3 and PO4 got too low. Try reducing nutrient export gradually (skim drier or less frequently, shorten refugium photoperiod, change water less frequently or reduce volume, etc.) until you find a good spot for your tank.

Mine have always lost color in high light environments. I would move them lower in your tank and see how they respond.

Zoas can be tricky, almost as bad as sps, but generally speaking, you keep trates up and phos in a moderate range, you’ll be good to go.
I would check flow too, some zoas like being blasted...
