I've got a Mag, two Quiet Ones and an Eheim 1250. I'm pretty happy with all of them so I really can't imagine justifying more than Eheim-kind of dollars.
If you're tank is heat-strapped (less and less common as folks migrate to LED lighting), then I'd say go with a Quiet One as they are among the most efficient pumps and are very reasonably priced - you could even afford a backup. Mag's are more power hungery, but I also think they put out more torque as a result so mit be less stall prone than many pumps..they also have over-heat protection. I would feel safe assuming the Eheim Compact line maintains the Eheim quality standard, so as long as your budget supports it, one of them or one of the classic Hobby Pump line meets your flow need, or if silence is of the utmost importance (all three are very quiet IME) go that route.
