Thanks for all the replies, leaning towards a sicce syncra adv 9. Has a smaller footprint with pretty good flow, may even do two of them, one for each return. Anybody have experience with this model?

I use the smaller Sicce ADV 5.5 on my system. I’m a big fan of AC reliability. The pump is incredibly energy efficient and nearly as quiet as a DC pump. For reference, my ADV 5.5 is rated at 50 watts pushing 1400 gph at zero head pressure. I have it dialed back slightly with a ball valve feeding dual returns pushing about 4.5 feet.. According to my Apex, it’s consuming a mere 32 watts! I am extremely happy with its performance and energy efficiency.

Great pump. We are referring to external pumps here which are not submersed and emits various motor noise

I ran my Fluval SP4 external, so I am guessing that it is an external pump.
