Best salt mix for large reef systems

I used all kinds of salt, but always come back to reef crystals. My favorite salt was esv, but just too lazy to do all the mixing..plus it was exspensive. Reef crystals costs me $ 45.00 for a 200 gallon mix

Same here it seems to do the job, why fix what isn't broken lol.

Loyalty to salt brands is always a contentious issue. But since we are on the topic, I I have always been happy with Tropic Marin (regular for my FOWLR and Bio Actif in my reef) and they have produced some great results for me and other friends know who use it.

I am a lifetime IO....Recently i've had some unexplained SPS death and bleaching I wish I could do a few 30% water changes. However, 1 larger waterchange would increase my alk to 8.5dkh. My current values have been stable at around (CA 420 and ALK 8dkh). I was considering fritz and live aquaria salt but convinced I am better of using IO since there alk range is probably still higher than id like at 9-9.5 dkh. Changing anything in this hobby is a risk so I rather find a salt mix that keep my major parameters stable and perhaps increases few trace elements.

Anyone switched form IO to Redsea pro and done few 30% waterchanges?
