I like this microfauna, like to siphon my sand very little, and don't like to add many sand sifters that will eat the microfauna. Maybe just one Tongan Nassarius snail in my RSR 250.

Don't they prefer cooler water? And eventually get large.I'm going to second on the horseshoe crab. They just never stop sifting and much greater speed then any sea star, snail, or other invert. Mine does disappear for days at a time because it goes deep in the sand bed. However I only recommend one per tank because they do such a good job along with your other inverts you will soon have their food source depleted
Lol, Turkeyus basterus. PricelessMy favorite turkeyus basterus. Works great, gets all the sand before a water change. I had a fighting conch, he was cool, but only lived a year, presumably not enough food. So afterwards I got a turkey baster.

Me too, i have a large and a small one. They clean the top very well, but the large one is like a bull in a China shop. Lol. Anything on the Sand bed is a possible bowling pin. Hahahaha.I have a conch snail, he does wonders! But he does sleep for days at a time so sometimes half the tank sand is gorgeous and the other half is a bit messy
