Best sized qt tank?

It really depends on your display size. I have a 40 breeder QT for my 90 display.

I also got the inline tubing and a cheap pump to make bubbles for aeration. After my water change I will start a two week copper treatment then treat one more week with Prazi Pro giving one week break in between treatments.

Those seem alot better option and will allow me to just throw the sponges in the 90 and buy replacements to always have something. Beats the hob filters for sure! I'm gunna add those to my list too, and grab an air pump too!

I want a 240 but I am not sure if my floor will support it. I currently have a 150 deep. 240 wouldbe great. I could go 240 in my basement though.

That's where the 125 is haha! The basement.ba overbuilt the stand, bought a skimmer capable of a march larger tank and will build the sunp larger. All that would need to change I'd a stronger return pump, and the actual tank down the road

yeah man my skimmer is for a much heavier bioload than I have. Time for more fish and more coral woooo. lol.

Filtration Handling
Well Stocked Tank - Rated up to 180 gallons
Medium Stocked Tank - Rated up to 220 gallons
Light Stocked Tank - Rated up to 300 gallons

I have a very light stocked 150

Is I believe is the older version of the 5000sss like 450 gallon rating... Going g on a 125.... Ha!

I picked that beast up used locally. Ha my first salt tank was a 30 hex with no skimmer....

If your treating with chemicals there's really no need to filter it too much cause mainly remove excess gunk but it's not gonna help with bacteria as the copper will kill it. Thus why I used just the 29g tank since I have to do water changes often to prevent ammonia and such.

I like the foot print of the 29 for that reason. I can make up about 30 gallons at a time of water currently so i could essentially do a 100 percent wc. But the biggest question is a 29 big enough for tangs and emperor angel.

If you buy them like babies like you wanted then yes it would be fine. You don't want to overload all at once anyways so you would add a few fish at a time.

The plan would be get my clowns and qy them, when those are done, get the next fish or maybe 2 if smaller, etc. I'd never do more than 2 unless a school .Of chromis or abthias or slmwtsome.

You know if you get the fish from critters they have them in copper tanks in the medicated section. Pay for it and let them hold it for a week for ya. Still have to watch regardless but at least it's been in copper already.
