Can someone tell me where to get highest purity sodium nitrate? Also dosing numbers would be great.

Dosing neonitrate right now. But, I’m not sure if it’s increasing potassium or not. Wish there was more transparency there.

I was just thinking about that. But, I use aquaforest 123 and don‘t want to mess up the ratios.

LOUDWOLF , be careful with it , very strong , but works good , Don't make a lot ,to make a batch use 1 oz. to one pint of water , it will last a long time , i use 3 mil per day on 120 gals . .My nitrate was too low 3ppm , for corals 5 to 10 ppm is recommended . within a few days you will see it come up to 8 to 10 ppm.

Thanks. I made a solution of 1l with 100 grams of sodium nitrate. Dosed 20 ml of for 2 days. My nitrate is now somewhere between 2-5. Your right it is muchhhhh stronger then neonitro.

It’s totally up to you how strong you make it. I did 13 or so grams to 250ml and dose 2-5 ml per week or two to keep 5-12ppm in my 20G

So you recommend 8-12? I have noticed more Polyp extension higher I go. Highest I’ve been prob 10. Hard to tell though aquarium consumes it so fast.

Yes , i believe 10 is sweet spot on nitrate , gotta get nutrients in there so you can develop good bacteria which in turn will out compete the bad algae and even cyano. Keep PO4 about .05 - .08 , it can vary just keep it under .1
