Would like to know everyone's opinions on a fish or two to start with when my tank is done cycling. 50 gallon cube. Must be reef safe.

Gobies, anthias, dartfish, firefish ... All depends on what you are going for. Before i stocked my tank, i sat down and made my full stocking list. Then I started adding fish in the order that would work out best for the fish (shy peaceful fish first, aggressive fish last).

Clownfish, Gobies, Chromis... I would say pretty much anything that is reef safe, not to expensive, and not very aggressive. These are just three possible choices I am sure there are more. Clownfish can be a little aggressive but in my experience they have only been aggressive towards other clowns and my hand;Nailbiting.

Highly recommend making a stocking list of what you would like to have.

It’s the best way to plan order of addition as well as compatibility.

What kind of fish do you like?

Me, I will end up with 30 or so in my tank. I have 20 so far. I have bottom dwellers, cave dwellers, fish that live on the rocks and ones that stay near the rocks. And I have open water swimmers, and ones that wander everywhere. An assortment helps spread out the population and their respective territories.
