best sump for 180gal

hello everyone I’m about to set up 180 gallon reef tank thinking mostly softies was wondering what is the best sump to buy thinking about trigger 46” What are your thoughts

I just made one out of a 40 gallon breeder. Didn't have the money for a true manufacturered sump. Typically the larger the better.

I'd say that's a pretty broad thing to be asking. To me the very best sump on the market is one that fits your budget and your needs. If budget isn't a real concern I would suggest custom. Tons of manufacturers in the custom realm who are all excellent at what they do. I went custom (Lifereef) as I had some specific dimensions I had to work with and TBH the sump itself wasn't that much more than off the shelf sumps. 40Bs are up there on the most common as they are very affordable, easily customized by yourself to whatever you want and can still look awesome. Stock sumps as long as it's something that fit your needs are all great. Haven't really seen anything super negative about any of the standard sumps you can get.
