TLDR: People that have experience with both the kessil and G4 radions (or even hydras)... have you noticed better SPS colors during LED only lighting? I run halide/T5 for the actual full light hours so I'm not worried about par or shading from the LEDs. I just want the best color rendition for the off peak lighting hours.

I light my 30x30x24 cube with a 24" geisemann spectra. 400watt Radium 3x actinic plus and one purple plus.

I still find that the one kessil 160 that I have angled in from the front corner adds a lot of the pop that the halide and t5 doesn't do. I was originally looking at adding another kessil 160 since the single unit isn't nearly enough for the actinic only hours.

I recently saw some sps under hydra 26 lights and was extremely impressed with the colors and it has me thinking that maybe I'd like a little more control-ability for the LED only hours.

The other thing that I'm noticing is that while the kessil does have a very cool shimmer, I'm starting to feel that it distracts from the sps colors at night. I want to say that it disorients me haha

I'm now thinking about trying an xr15 pro gen 4 side by side with the kessil to see if I can get colors that I like a little more than the kessil. If I really like it and see a difference I'll purchase a second one and run them retrofit on the sides of the spectra, slightly angled in.

Color separation sucks.

If that's your biggest concern, I don't think the AI's are going to impress you. The Radion's should be fine though. Would an AP700 fit? It would make a nice supplement and you have the options for diffusers if the shimmer is too much.

It probably would fit but look a little silly. I think the radions make more sense since they could be attached in the blank spots of the spectra and it would given me better coverage if I decide to reduce halide hours.

I ran two custom rapid led strips on my last tank. I liked it for the most part, but I won't do it again unless I can find some diffused acrylic to use as the splash shield so there isn't so much color separation.

Part of the reason I'm not looking at strips is to get away from poor color blending.

I used some stick on window film called DC Fix Sand on my acrylic splash guard under my leds to avoid color separation and it seems to work very well. It's even removable. Reports from nanoreef say that it doesn't lower PAR very much too.

I have my frag tank with MH two 250W Phoenix 14k. They grow great but with a subdue color, I am saving up for a Reef Brite XHO to help. Before I put them up for sale I put them in one of two tanks, my 65 connected to the frag tank with Hydra 52's and T5's. The other is AI Sols and Kessils. so my opinion is the best combo from others tanks is MH/XHO or T5/XHO. That's my two cents anyways.

Great idea. I'll look into that.

I use a strip from 21ledusa.com. I talked with the owner and he customized a very blue heavy strip for me. With ramp timer, power adapter, and LED strip I only paid around $130. The made some mounts for it and have mounted it to the side of my T5 fixture.
The pic below has the 3w LEDs turned down pretty far so that I could get a decent pic of the colors.

I originally started with kessil only and ended up adding 2 ati t5. Ended up liking the color so much I added 2 more ati t5. So now on my 90 currently run dual kessil 160we at max 20% color so it's very blue as well as 2 ati blue+, 1 ati coral+, and 1 ati purple+. Really happy with this set up
