Best T5 6 bulb combo for sps?

I run an 8 x 80 watt bulb system, with a 60 inch Reefbrite strip. I leave the Reefbrite on all day, but it doesn't make a whole lot of difference when the main lights are on, mostly just for viewing the tank outside the main photoperiod. I hate having my tank dark while I am awake.

Sweet tank I'm thinking of just doing the 4 B+, 1 Super purple or purple plus haven't decided on which one and a coral plus ordering tomorrow so if anyone has any input or order I should put them in ID really appreciate it before I buy these and replace all 6 again on my ATI 48 inch 54w

Buy an extra coral+ see if what you like better. 4 blue, 1 purple, 1 coral
Or with 2 corals. I tried it and the purple is sitting in my garage.

With 4 B+, 1 super purple and a giesmann 6500 tropic but I hate the look of the 2 bulb dawn with the tropic and blue plus

I'm getting great growth and colors

I am using ATI Blue+, Coral+ and Aquablue Special, 2 each on this tank. Picture is without any color manipulation. I have tried Purple+ and Actinics before and I did not like them.

Have you ever tried the giesemann super purple? Because the purple plus and this may just be my personal opinion is no where near as good as the super purple I noticed my colors were washed out with the ATI purple+ but the giesemann super purple was a whole other ball game

No never tried Giesemann's purple version. Maybe I'll check it out one day.

So first off I would move that super purple back one more depending on your 2 bulb turn on and I had the 6500 tropic and wasn't to pleased I switched to a coral plus just yesterday
My new bulbs are like this and the order will never change

So my two bulb warm up and cool down is slot 2 and 5

I'd like to chime in here as I'm running a 6 bulb 60" over my 150 gallon.

I also like the new Giesemann bulbs, The super purple is closer to coral+ than purple+ and has a nice color IMO. Their AquaBlue coral is nice, but I do prefer coral+ to it. I also prefer the new Actinic Blue (GAB) to Blue+ since the Actinic Blue is a deeper blue with less green.

I can't stand the aquablue special. I do like the new Giesemann Aquablue Azure ... maybe. I have it ove rmy tank now and I find it really brings out a few colors the other bulbs don't but I'm not 100% positive I like it over a coral+.

I prefer to run my bright bulbs in the front of the fixture to help light up the front of the acros.

Nice tank and setup..!! I do not like actinic if you have a 8 bulb setup maybe but there just not for me now the azure is different that is a nice bulb in my opinion

I agree, I do not recommend the actinic, but I'm using it at the moment to lower PAR a bit and/or see if it helps with coloration. I'm not sure it really lowers PAR that much but my PAR meter can't detect it as well (410 up top vs 375 with the actinic).
