Anyone know any good T5/LED hybrid options thank can go on a 36"x14" tank? The aquatic life and giesemanns are too big and I am not paying $2000AU for a ATI powermodule. I was planning mostly SPS (Montiporas,Styloporas, pacilloras, and seriatoporas) with two lps (Elegance and brain) and two soft (Zoanthids and Xenia) also want a nice shimmer and bright coloration for corals, any suggestions for LEDs to? Thanks for all the support!

Only other one is the Noopsyche which also seems to be superior to the others for less.
But with a diy setup you won't be limited to certain lights.

Have you looked at any diy t5 options you could add to the leds of your choice? Might give you the greatest flexibility

Sunblaster nano tech T5's with your choice of ATI bulbs. Look them up at Amazon, they carry them in different lengths

If you are going to install one 36" light, the nanotech will do the job. If you're going to install two, I would look at any of the DIY kits you can buy- it will be about the same price, but the reflectors and ballast will be much better.

How much could I have in a 40" canopy and two Ecotech radion xr15 gen5 blues?

I think you can only do a max of 2 realistically. I think the xr15 is about 7" wide- if the tank is 14" wide, between the two reflectors, you'll have everything covered at that point if you go with 36" t5 bulbs.

I think I will do that :)

Wait will a Sunblaster Nanotechnology T5 for two ATI Blue Plus and still be good for corals? It says it comes with a 6400K Light? Is the light the devilng faster on what it grows. It says 300 percent more output so that's good

Based on what your asking, and considering price, I would either do a retrofit t5, or get aquatic life (more $). And for the led to give you shimmer, look into a kessil 360x. Much cheaper than 2 radions. Nothing beats kessil shimmer, and it’s stronger, so you’ll be able to see it better when you’ve got the t5 going. And based the description of corals you want to grow, I don’t see anything that would push me to radions. Think about it!

I can vouch for the Noopsyche hybrid. Great value, and works like a charm. Plus, the gull wing ballasts make it easy to shield your eyes from the light and get a good angle.

I am so close to pulling the trigger on noopsyche. I love the way they look mounted (the solid black that is) Two of them would work fine for a 36 inch bowfront and when I upgrade to the 120 or 90 I can the use them in the hybrid and have my hubby build a canopy or a way to hide the hybrid fixture. Problem is this

Dosnt noopsyhche put out a ton of disco? From the videos I have seen on youtube. I call disco just that crazy strobe look, some people mean seeing the color of leds in the sandbed. I have current orbit and coralife seascape. Both similar strip style leds and they dont flicker and do all that stuff that gives me a big fat headache! I think it would be fine with a hybrid because A very small amount is okay. also looking into ocean revive and sb reef and radions 14 pro and illumagic blaze
