Best Tank App????

aquarimate looks cool but i dont want to pull the trigger for 10 bucks if it crashes and cant take pics of your tank(along with other bugs)...anyone on it that can tell me if they fixed the functionality?
Take the freebie my man. It is just as good and o haven't ran into any bugs. Everything I was looking for in one place. Even made the wife happy when she seen it had a spot that kept up with how much wad spent per tank.. [emoji22]

how can i not trust that cute baby?!? ill keep an eye on the other app but yea freebie with less bugs im sold.

Aquarimate for me since I use an iPhone (Aquarium Note is only on Android I believe?). I used to use notebook & pencil, but seeing all the values in a graph and able to spot trend has been surprisingly insightful! You could of course just input everything into an excel and plot... but I'm lazy, lol.

I've used Aquarimate and Reefware for PC. Haven't used either in awhile. I started using Google Calendar extensively on my phone and I'm wondering if any tie into that. I want something that will notify me of an upcoming event on my G. Cal app like a reminder for maintenance.

PS I think Reefware can download to Apex Fusion.
I sent a message to Aquarimate about compatibility with Google Calendar. I have a gc widget that I check a dozen times a day.

Hands down it's Aquaticlog.com, there is not a day that I don't have the site open on my pc/phone. The versatility of the site in terms of customization to your own needs makes it great. You can set reminders based on time, expiration, etc. The parameter tracking for your tests is an amazing feature that I think may take for granted. Being able to log your test results and have them charted for you allows you to see trends that may otherwise go unnoticed. Having a dedicated app for the phone makes the site a huge plus. I could go on and on with all of the features. It's a great site.

Here are a couple screen shots that I took from the site so you can see a small bit of what it offers.

For me its Aquarium Note. I do tank maintenance service and it can track all my client's tanks. Saltwater, freshwater, and brackish tanks. I can set custom parameters. Line graph for each parameter. Log each tank's equipment and livestock. Set notifications for expendable media or when next to clean powerheads or pumps. Log daily maintaince. Share tank parameters thru email, different messagers. Export thru email in a HMTL or XML file. Take pictures of all tanks and critters. All for free.

Oh and it does a great job tracking my tanks.

The only thing that could make it better is if it could connect directly to Reefkeeper, Apex, Cerebra, Reef Angel, and all other controllers out there.

Aquarimate. Partially because I run ZEOvit tanks, which requires a balancing act of blue bottles.

On top of that, other features I like about the app (and this isn't even a comprehensive list of the features):
  • Graph functionality to see trends.
  • Ability to input custom tests and values.
  • Syncs to Cloud so all the data and tasks transfer between laptop, iPhone, iPad, etc.
  • Sync tasks to iPhone calendar. (I can see what will need to be dosed and on what day if I am on vacation or away from the tank, so I know what I'm missing or what to tell the tank sitter).
  • Create custom timelines and note when changes were made to the regiment(s), like a daily log, in case I need to refer back to a change, should something look off
  • Track livestock, foods used, equipment installation dates, etc.
  • Ability to manage and input multiple tanks.
  • Keep track of every expense and what store/hobbyist it came from (my wife's favorite feature, even though I'll admit I've left off a "0" or moved a decimal point here and there).

Aquarimate just wrote back to me and this is what they said:

Hi Mitch,
Thanks for your interest in writing an article about Aquarimate. We really appreciate it and can certainly promote it at MACNA this year if you can write it this week. Currently, Aquarimate syncs with iCloud Calendar (on all iOS devices and Macs) but not with Google Calendar due to some troubles we had in the past. Having said that, our team is looking into reconsidering the Google Calendar and it's very much possible that we may add it again in the near future. Please let us know if you need any help with your article. Our website should have plenty of information and screenshots to use. We are also updating some info this weekend when we release the next version(v7). Stay tuned.

Makes me want to chuck my Samsung and get an iPhone!! This and iPhone supports Apex Fusion mobile.

I ultimately decided AquaticLog was the best.
Tried Aquarium Note, Reefwiser, Aquarimate and maybe one or two others.

But then I bought an Apex and I'm just using Fusion now. It's easier to have everything there and it's free. I do miss some of the AquaticLog features though.

With Fusion, can you have it send you notifications (email, texts) of upcoming water changes, tasks, maintenance, etc?

Not emails/txts (that I'm aware of) but it pops up a reminder on the Fusion main display. Since I have that up on my computer 24/7 now that's enough for me.

downloaded aquaticlog. pretty nice so far.
Check out the website too. LOTS of cool features there and you can interact with others and view their tanks/profiles, leave messages, etc.
It goes beyond just basic recording of parameters, tasks, etc.

I use Aquarimate, I like it. I also have aquarium note, but I don't use it much, not as complete as Aquarimate.
