I am planning on building a 2x4 stand and plumbing a 30 gallon into my 55 main display. It does not have to be pretty, I dont care about look too much, im more worried about price. Although if a decent rimless 30 gallon frag tank existed i would be willing to shell out a little more cash. Does anyone have any good sites or places they have bought one of these before they can direct me? Right now Petco is about the only place around that sells tank in Tally, will this suffice? I have never bought a tank before, I have had them all given to me by friends / family.

Deep Blue Professional sells a 30 gallon frag tank that is really nice. It is 24"x24"x12" and they have a reef ready and non-reef ready version. As far as price, those vary by location, so I don't know.

If you wanted to, I know Petco is running their $1 per gallon sell right now, so you could pick up a standard 40 breeder for $40+tax. That is a really good size too for a frag tank.

nice idea, hadn't thought of a 40 and 40 bucks isnt bad at all. idk if i could get away with my ASM mini-g skimmer and 100 gallons of volume tho
