So whats a good thermometer to use? I have your typical mercury style one but I don't fully trust it, so I want to get a new one but just want to get one that I know is accurate.

I've always used the aquarium thermometers without issues. I guess they are mercury based too though.
I've heard good things about the digital temperature probes. I'm considering getting one soon.
