Best time to turn off skimmer?

I know that probably most reefers run their skimmers 24/7 but if you were to turn off your skimmer for a couple of hours a day because of nutrients bottoming out for example, would it be better to do it during the day or night? Or does it even matter? TIA

I would do the “off” portion during the day, it will help with ph swing

I'd vote turn "off" during the day also.
Night = no photosynthesis so more CO2 (maybe less O2) ?

What kind of skimmer do you have? Mine is always on 24/7 as I have a CO2 scrubber attached. I tune my Nyos 120 for dry if I want more nutrients .
