Have you looked at the DIY Tropic Marin All for Reef (one part dosing solution)? I understand the bottle TM sells is a bit expensive and usually for nano tanks due to cost. However, the DIY recipe seems interesting. Figured I would ask since your photo caught my eye. Nice looking tank btw.
The system I have going now seems to be working really good so changing it up for no reason really is not an option for any reason. If it ain't broke no need to change. I've gotten my tank on auto pilot somewhat so I like to keep things simple.

Fully understand and would agree.

If you are looking to get coral colors to pop, the best thing I've found is Pohl's Extra Special. It's probably the most expensive option, and no one knows what the heck is in it. When I use it consistently, it's the only thing that I've found where you can see a visual difference. I carbon dose, but don't run a strict zeovit system, so that's not a requirement to use it with good results.

I've also used Red Sea ABCD. That seems to improve growth and keeps my zoas happy, but I don't really see visual difference in color.

Awesome tank.
No water changes here either. 120 almost 5 months old.
I dose DSR trace elements daily 3ml
Esv strontium weekly 3ml
Esv 2 part daily
For me I test for big 3 and strontium and iodine.
35+ corals and 1 12 head frogspawn for a clownfish.
So far vey stable with good growth.

What test kits are you using for the big 3

Salifert for alk, ca, mag.
I also have Hanna alk, red sea ca for cross reference.
I prefer salifert for alk as you get almost 200 tests for $18 as opposed to 20ish for $10 with Hanna.
Honestly I rarely use Hanna alk anymore.
I also have elos for alk cross reference.

Thank you .

I use the same. Salifert is accurate and cost efficient

What about for strontium and iodine ? I’m about 3 mo in with no water changes. I’m going to do a big wc today but I also thought about dosing trace . Carx is steady right now thinking of letting corals go untouched again 3 mo

I run DSR ez trace and dose ESV strontium once a week.
EZ trace has mag, potasium, sulphate, boron, iodine, and manganese.
I control dosing by my mag levels.
Currently dosing 2ml in my 20g, 3ml, in my 45 total 60g frag system, and 3ml in my 80 total 120g.
In my old 120 I was dosing 6ml once a week of strontium and 6ml of ez trace.
These keep my mag at 1350-1400.
My only icp test I have done was on my 120 and it showed iodine at 20 and strontium at 7.
Iodine was low but I was having no issues at that level as its dosed daily through the ez trace and gets used up very fast anyway.

I see the only way you tested strontium and iodine is with ICP. I been looking for good trace elements I may try ez

Yea I tried the salifert iodine test but it sucks, imo. I only did icp for reference on my 120 at the 2 year mark.
I did use and have their strontium test kit which is ok. Think I will test it on my 3 systems as I actualy forgot I have it.

Read up on DSR method. Glenn Fong knows what he is doing, imo.
I started using ez trace from day one in my 120 and followed his method but I ran a carx on the 120.
I dose esv 2 part on all 3 systems now as the 80g system does not yet have the demand.

Ive used Kent brand for years
