looks like biocube makes one specifically for biocube but i've read they're bulbs suck and they overcharge for new ones ...

anybody have good experiences with your uv sterilizer? suggestions?

Do you have a sump on your biocube?

no sump, just the refugium in the back with carbon filter, bio-balls, sponge filter, and pump

Is your tank fish only or reef? If it’s a reef, don’t use the UV sterilizer.

From what I've seen uv sterilizer is used for pest and microorganisms to either kill them or sterilize them. But for that to happen you need a powerful bulb plus good contact time. That's why the biocube one is known for being bad. I'm no pro but if I were you I'd look up exactly what they do and if that adds a ton to the set up.

You’re not saying don’t A uv sterilizer, you’re saying don’t use the biocube one!
