I've currently got a 12-gallon nano cube and I can't seem to stop purchasing new coral whenever I'm at my LFS. :( it's time for an upgrade...

I don't want to go above 40 gallons since I see myself moving several times over the next few years, and also don't have a budget for maintaining a tank that's too large.

I really would want AIO (excluding lighting). I don't want a sump because I've never had one before, and I'm nervous about power outages/flooding/fish jumping into the overflow.

I've been looking into the 32 Biocube since the tank only (no light) and stand is ~$300. My budget us around $450 for a tank and stand. I don't really have the tools or experience to make my own stand either. Does anyone know of any better systems than the Biocube for the price? I appreciate any advice!

Yup.. A USED biocube from craigslist :) I've bought (and sold) many bc's on craigslist over the last 8 years or so. They're usually half as much as a new one. Just make sure the silicone looks good and everything runs ok before you buy it.
