Hello R2R,
Who is the best vendor for Berghia Nudibranchs? Please list site and PoC if any. I would like to purchase a few Thanks.

There are really only 2 vendors to choose from.

Reeftown and saltyunderground. Ebay is an option as well, and I think one of these vendors just uses Ebay as a selling venue.

I was thinking of Reeftown too. I truly appreciate the input you guys are giving. Not sure if there is an upside in using one over the other but I have browsed the site of Reeftown and they have a 40% discount going on right now on the medium sized.

I am definitely going to post my experience with whoever I go with. I will make a decision by 10AM Central time so I can get my order underway

+1 for Reeftown. I've only ordered from them and have never been disappointed.

So guys I just put in an order for 15 Bergia. I went with Salty Underground for two reasons. Please Keep in mind that this is just me. I went with them simply because they are in St. Louis, Missouri and they ship M-F.
Once again please keep in mind that this is me. Their location is not too far from Chicago. I made another post earlier this month asking you guys which fish should I get to eat my aptasia and the choices were a Filefish or a Cooper band. @Florida Sunshine recommended that I get some bergia. After doing some research, This is the route I wanted to take. I could have gone with a Majano Wand but I don't want to add any extra hydrogen to my tank. My chemistry seems to be fine and I will find some way to overuse it and do more harm than good.

If interested that post can be found here. Correction it was made in April

I had a bad dealing with Reeftown. His website says that he will price match, but when given the opportunity he wouldn’t do it. It was bad business in my opinion to put that on your website and then not live up to it.

I’ve been in this hobby for 15 years and have almost always found vendors to be really cordial and helpful. Usually, they bend over backwards to please. This is such an incredible hobby and the people you meet along the way are a pleasure to deal with. This was one of the few bad dealings I ever had.

Just out of curiosity where did you find them cheaper? Which website or business??

The two vendors that came out cheaper were SaltyUnderground and Fishnreef. When calculating the price you have to consider not only the price per organism, but also the shipping price. Reeftown charged the highest shipping price. SaltyUnderground was the best with free shipping over $75. The key is to calculate to total price, then divide using the amount of Burghia that you are ordering. The actual price will be much different that the list price. It’s a marketing trick.

The $75 minimum free shipping does set them apart for sure.

The other point to consider with regards to shipping, besides the higher rate, is when you can receive your shipment. Reeftown only ships on Wednesday, while the other vendors ship all week long. My decision was based on customer service, shipping rate, shipping dates available, and price.
After my disappointing exchange with Reeftown I placed my order with SaltyUnderground. The package came quickly, cheaper, and I received 3 free Burghia. That’s the kind of service we come to expect in this hobby.
I also picked up a couple of frags from SaltyUnderground being I was getting free shipping. The frags were high quality with nice coloration at a good price.
Now I’m going to go watch those Berghia chow down on aiptasia. It’s a pretty cool experience.
