Long story short, I have a blue stripe pipefish who has been hunting a little more aggressively in the past and won’t eat frozen. The change in behavior has me worried the pod supply is running low so I ordered more.

When the pods arrive, should I just dump them right in the display? The tank is an AIO without a fuge. Should I dump them in when the lights are on/off?

I've only introduced pods once, but I fed my fish like normal, before lights out. Waited a little after the lights went out, and gently poured in. This was common when I was researching ways to add them. Some stop flow, I didn't. I did turn off my uv light though, didn't want to nuke 'em with that, lol.

I had done half in the fuge and half in the DT for my mandarin hoping that in the fuge they would have an easier time breeding
Maybe I’ll try half in the display and half in the back then. Honestly I should just make a fuge in the back because I have no equipment back there

when i first added tigger pods they immediately swam up towards the light and went out the overflow...so after lights were off i'd focus a flashlight on a back corner of the tank and hope they swam down and got into the rockwork and gravel

Get a clear plastic tube about 1" to 2" inside diameter long enough to reach the bottom into the rocks. With the light and flow off pour the pods into the tube and flush tank water into the tube to get the pods into the rocks. This way here the pods will find the rocks quicker. Something like this on Amazon will work. This is how I do it.

Clear Polycarbonate Tube, 7/8" ID x 1" OD x 1/16" Wall, 36" L

That is a very good idea!

If it were me, I would pour 3/4 into the tank, then 1/4 into a big jar filled with saltwater, and feed phyto or flake food. That way you have a new batch of pods in 2-3 weeks, so you won't have to order more.
