Best way to break dry pukani

Hey guys, have about 40 lbs of dry pukani, in two pieces. Need to break them both up a bit. Really like the looks of one, has great natural caves, but is a bit to wide and long for my 30l. That one I think I will chisel down to my likings. The next, is big and dense. Need smaller pieces, but not to small. Should I drop it from a low height?

I would say hammer and chisel to have more accuracy.

Hacksaw if you want straight cuts (this is good for the bottoms). Pukani is very soft and a hacksaw cuts through it like a hot knife through butter. Otherwise a hammer and chisel for caves or breaking up into smaller pieces.

Yes, it's a good idea. If you have gobies or other fish that burrow and you don't do that it could end in the rocks shifting and falling over, which could be really bad.
