After months of chasing down why my tank doesn't look as healthy as I want, I finally found the issue: calibrating my refractometer with rodi. After buying some calibration solution it turns out my actual salinity is more like 1.022 vs 1.026.

What's the best way to correct this? And how slow should I go?

Add 1.025 water gradually and slowly. You can come down quickly but not up.

You can safely raise your salinity .001 daily until you get it where you want. I’d just do small daily water changes with a higher salinity water Using this calculator.
