Best way to clean WAV Pumps?

Hi there,

Is there a guideline or best way to Clean the WAV pumps? I just got a new one that i had to replace, and i put it in and have it on the same settings as my other one, but noticed the output is not nearly as powerful as the other, so i assume it needs to be cleaned. It has been in for over a year and never been cleaned.

How do i go about cleaning it?

Citric acid is the best.

I pull pumps out and place in pail with acid and warm water. Set a program to run wave at a constant 5% so it doesn't splash everywhere. Couple hours later start scrubbing.
