Best way to clear cloudy water

I'm experiencing cloudy water and looking for the best method of clearing it.

My tank is 2.5 months old and lightly stocked. I'm thinking its a bacteria bloom. Water is noticeably yellow-green when in a white bucket. I put fresh carbon into the sump 3 days ago. Water parameters from test yesterday:

Temp: 81.06 F
Salinity: 35.0 ppt
pH: 8.4
Alk: 7.7 dKH
NH3: undetectable
NO2: undetectable
NO3: undetectable
Ca: 435 ppm
Mg: 1400 ppm

My LFS recommended something called Chemi-Pure Blue. I think that this mostly carbon, but really don't know. My other thought was an inexpensive UV light in the sump.

Uv will help clear the water up

I would just stick with your current routine and let nature take it's course. IME when this happens it's just a matter of time before it clears up. Your parameters look OK. Do you have any fish, corals etc in the tank? How are they doing?
