Best way to deal with stings?

Ever been stung by a fire worm? It ain't fun... How do you guys deal with those? I've tried vinegar...didn't really do much.

I haven't been stung by a fireworm but I got stung by a huge Maxima anenome a few months back. It took about 6 weeks to heal completely. What helped me was avoiding anything rubbing against it and not scratching it. The anenome looks smaller than it is in the photo and that's my arm after half a hour or so

Worst thing is I have to look at it every week untill someone buys it haha. It's huge and expensive so not many people in the market for a anenome that big

Tape is your friend for any stingers that remain in your dermis. Duct tape works best(this also works for bee stings).

Clean with an antiseptic, my coral dip doubles for this(detol)

Now spray liberally with anti itch insect spray and monitor for any primary or secondary reaction signs. Primary anaphylaxis; secondary is usually a day 2 or 3 over charged autoimmune response, where your body attacks the wound. Either case seek medical attention.

When getting stung by jellyfish in the sea, we always said pee on it to deactivate the stinging cells that haven’t propelled themselves into your skin yet. Vinegar is usually kept in lifeguard stands and works.

Keep in mind, it’s only to mitigate the stinging cells that haven’t been activated yet. It does nothing as far as I know for the sting itself.

I think it's 600 ish but we only get them 3x a year usually since there is so little demand and so little supply and this is aud so around 4-500 USD

Never had a fireworm in my tank but had an encounter with fire coral while diving....nothing worked except tincture of time....unfortunately.
