I have read that you can scrape some off another tank and seed it into yours and they will grow. But the problem is the only people who I know have any is one of my lfs and I'm not sure if they're going to be weird about me doing that. I don't know anyone else here with a tank either. If I couldn't get some to scrape off, what's my next best option?

I would look for snails or rock at your LFS that have it growing on them.
I did purchase rubble rock on ebay that had it growing on it now my tank is covered in it.
;)
The only snails my lfs has are in there DT tank and they have already told me before they won't sell me anything in there so no luck there. Isn't there two different types of coralline and are there variations in color? I just looked on eBay and found some for 24 bucks so might have to just buy some online. Also does it have to touch other rock in the tank to spread or will it spread throughout the water?

^This is good advice. Trochus snails are often covered. I have my tank set up with kalkwasser in a 5 gallon bucket with a Toms aqua lifter pump. The pump is set on a timer to come on for a hour in the morning for top off. You will have to find out hour much you evaporate and time it out in a container of that amount marked on it. This Kalk will boost your Alk, Calcium, and pH. This along with 30% monthly water changes. (I do 15% ever other week) will give you good coralline growth. So much it will become a nuisance. Will will have to adjust your Kalk powder amount based on the invert load. Bulk reef supply has a good video on Kalkwasser. Good luck.

You can buy Trochus snails online for 2-3$ a piece. The ones I got from pacific east aquaculture were covered in it.

What does shipping cost? That would be what I'm worried about because I don't really have much money.

It will spread throughout your tank no need for anything to touch.

Around $30. But if you buy some mushrooms or something that will make it more worthwhile. They have frags under $15.

If that is your tank in your aviatar pic, looks like you have live rock and it should have plenty so no need to buy anything. Just Kalk or some other calcium and alkalinity method.
