Best Way to introduce algae barn pods?

Hey everyone,

I recently added copepods to my system from algae barn and I did the drip acclimation for over an hour. I trust their systems over at AB, but I hate to add any water from a different system, even if it has been extremely diluted with my tank water. Anyone have any experience adding pods without having to add water back in? Maybe a super fine net that I can use to scoop them all up? Thanks!

it is just phyto water, there's no harm.
But if you're concerned, just suck them out with a turkey baster and strain them through a sieve. Depends what size the copepods are, but would need about 50-100 micron sieve.

You can certainly get copepod sized sieves, but most people just dump them in.
This is a random link that I can't vouch for, just wanted to post an example. You can get them on Amazon or from (at least some) places that sell copepods.

Is that something AlgaeBarn recommends? I haven't bought pods from them in a long time, but I thought they just had you let the jar warm up and then pour them in.

Ah okay, I was not aware of that, I thought it was from one of their tanks. The acclimation guide said to drip acclimate them, so I was under the impression you do it like you would acclimate a fish.
