I am filling in a rock with Zoanthids and one colony is growing way faster than the rest and beginning to overtake its neighbours before they have a chance to build momentum. What is the easiest way to keep them at bay? I cannot remove the rock...

Can you reach the rock to apply some superglue to the outer polyps of the faster growing one? You can also try to put a physical barrier between them and the rest... Maybe use putty or epoxy and attach a frag disk on its side (vertically) so the zoas grow over that first? Then you could remove the plug and sell the frag ;)

Frank's F-Aptasia will do great for you. Just treat whichever zoas you want to control like it was an aptasia. I've used it on zoas, palys and hairy mushrooms with no issues at all.

I take it these are the ones you are concerned about?

Yes those are the ones! Thats a great idea thanks!

Frag or add a butterfly which will gladly eat them

Snip/cut off the polyps you don't want first - most if not all will survive and can be glued to a plug in a week or two. Snip them as close to the base as you can. I have done it quite a few times. Are those Nirvanas? I've done them more than once. Scrape off what's left if you can. This straw works really well - connect it to a siphon hose then use it to scrape off what's left while siphoning it all out. No issues with palytoxin, because it all gets sucked out. Somewhere on here someone has a video about doing this. It works great.
