i have WAY to many brown shrooms in places i cant frag them! what can i inject them with that will kill them?!?!?!:after_boom:

never done it before but I wonder if kalk paste or lemon juice would work. to bad you can't frag them you could give them to someone starting out.

I also posted some more pics for you to look at...lol

haha i saw those lol i like um! ik ive been trying to frag them and give them away but there are in hard to reach spots and i cant see dismantling my whole tank for it

yeah that would be a pain in the butt. shrooms are tough little buggers i saw a thread one time were a guy put some in a blender to frag them and abunch of them lived.

reefkprZ did that on saltwaterfish.com. They all lived except for like the ridiculously tiny ones. I supposed you could inject them with kalk paste or something. I poured calcium supplement on top of my fl ric one time and it came back within 2 hrs. Good luck haha

I have the same problem with some shrooms. I will never again put them in any tank i have. The way they spread in my system on the rock work, i cannot believe the ocean isn't completely covered in them!

i too have the same problem with shrooms. i had a favia receed from toxic aggression just being close to it. i tried to scratch them with my fingernail and also a metal tweezers, but they are attached so well i coudn't remove all of the tissue. it is so close to other corals i'm afraid to try kalk.

If ya can cut most of them off then cover whats left with some of the 2part epoxy you use to attach corals and live rock. The grey stuff.

i have some nice hairy mushrooms with blue tips, so i left them in my tank. That was a mistake they have grown from 4 to about 20 and they are about 3 to 4 inches in diameter taking up valuable real estate.

why not ask your LFS if they would be willing to trade you a fresh piece of their live rock, for a coral coated one of yours?

Shrooms are the best, why kill them? How about a pic to see why you would want to kill them?
