About to add a sump to my tank and have an Eshopps oveflow. I've used this before and had it pretty quiet at the overflow but was loud where it drained into the sump. Out of the overflow had 1" pvc straight down to 2 90's, is there a better way so that it's not so loud?

one way would be to have the line drain into PVC that goes all the way to the bottom and drill holes all over it from bottom all the up over the water line. will cut mos tthe noise down.
