I've got a few lil' bubbles of algae on a micromussa frag that needs removed, it's up high on a "frag shelf" so it's beyond the reach of my emerald crab. What is the best way to remove it without causing a bubble pop?

try putting the frag on the sand bed? other method is to take the frag out the tank, and with a scalpel or similar tool, scrape the bubble off, or pop it and rinse it with RO or tank water (again..., outside the tank)

Would an H202 dip be appropriate you think? I will clean off the plug but I want to make sure I get it all.

i have done h202 to the outer rim of acans but they do recede a bit. Best way imo for good i would say vibrance to kill it all (monitor levels closely if using vibrance), removal is usually always temporary as bubble algae likes to grow in areas you never see, like behind rocks and in crevices

All I have ever done was to carefully use my fingers and pull it free. Wriggle it, rock it, whatever and they come free without popping. Do it outside the tank and rinse in salt water if one pops.

Take it out and pull it off the bubble are quite firm normally and don’t pop if they do least it’s not in you DT and just rinse in some tank water

Valonia don't produce spores until they get kind of big. They also don't tend to survive floating through a mature system. There's simply no real estate to colonize and the spores get eaten by protein skimmers and filter feeders. I would not worry about popping little bits on a frag rack. Use a siphon next to it if you are worried about that.
