I know manual removal is important part of getting rid of green hair algae but what's the best method to get rid of it between tightly grouped zoas and clove polyps? Is there a dip that will get the job done?

I used Kents Tech "M" it's a magnesium additive. Bump you magnesium up to around 1700-1800 and watch GHA literally dissolve in days. Bumping mag up won't hurt corals, fish or inverts.

Will this kill off macro algae in my algae reactor? And will it affect my other parameters in any way? Can I just bump it up with the red sea mag or does it contain too many other nutrients?

Which ones are best I've got a few ceriths , nassarius, nerite. Have 2 emeralds as well. Don't have a good count of snails due to hermits thinking they needed an upgrade.

Pull what you can with your hand.
blow off what you can with a power head.
Scrub with a tooth brush areas.

You can also remove the rock and scrub with the toothbrush on the algae with peroxide. 2% standard solution you buy at the store. Just dip the brush in it and scrub

It won't hurt your other parameters in any way. As far as your Algae reactor, I honestly don't know. Re: Red Seas mag, again I don't know. I was recommended Kent's Tech M by the owner of Neptunes Reefs in Denver and it worked miracles. I use Kents Tech M as my Mag additive and have now for a couple of years.

It is by our back door that has a 20ft roof over the back deck.

UV from sun is very strong and can penetrate shades and blinds and is my suspect why I asked.

Gotcha currently it's only on my zoa frags and clove polyps. The zoas are closest to the door but the polyps should be out of any direct sight of it. I was running a 10 hour day with my xr30 g5s cut it back to 8 no moon light.

Sure. IMHO:

Yeah sure it is much better for bryopsis, but far from useless for GHA. Just a higher dosage 9mg/L and more days (usually 21) and it works…

I consider GHA pretty resilient, for small patches manual removal is great but when there is a lot it usually take months to reduce with nutrient control.

I cannot remove the rock from the tank and the rock has a green birdnest coral, a torch and a candycane on it. What is the best way to apply the peroxide?
