Good old green palys came on a piece of rock and are taking up some valuable space in my nano. They are also getting too close to my Dendros What is the best/safest way to remove? I can't take the rock out so needing to do it in tank. Superglue? Razor Blade? Just pull off with my fingers and eat?

PS. I know all about poisoning dangers, so no need to rehash. Please assume gloves/eye wear will be used. Gracias!

I've removed some in tank with a scalpel and a dab of glue where removed.

In your case you will need to brake the rock where they are and keep them separated from the other rocks.
You could try to exchange the rock with your local fish store.
Grandis.

So, after all the hand wringing and doom and gloom of disturbing Palys, I basically just razor bladed the jerks. I thumped them to close up and used a razor to loosen up the mat. I then peeled the mat off the rock. Some of the smaller ones I zapped with Aptasia X. I'm alive to tell the tale. I did use gloves and added new GAC. But, all in all very easy process.

i have used mushrooms to kill them, then remove the shroom after complete, about to do this again as i have some that will not go away!

I wonder if the laser trick some folks use for aiptasia would work??

Tell me about these magical ideas please. I am fighting paly's as well and Aptasia x and Kalk paste are not doing the trick.

You've already cut them out but another trick to make sure they don't come back is to roll out a piece of aquarium putty. Put super glue on one side, and then cover up the rock and entomb them 'cask of amontillado' style.

You could try some reef putty over them as well. Edit, what he said ^

Some folks use those high output green laser pens (the kind that can pop balloons) to kill aiptasia.
