Scrape it and take some rock with it.

agreed scrape it hard first till a knife makes all the bryopsis gone and score the rock like a parrotfish bite. when the area is force cleaned, burn the clean part with 35% peroxide if you don't want to play around, then rinse, that'll zap some bry. google the dangers of handling 35% beforehand but ive used it 5 yrs and only burnt my hand silly with it twice. one learns after the second time. they sell it over the counter in healthfood stores and it is mind boggling. one should have to be 35 yrs old to handle and purchase the stuff.

we weren't pre-scraping back then. we wound up scraping as evolution of that old method, which had too much growback, angrily scraping it off the rock (make the right face too/gnash jaw) has power against the anchored invader
theres nothing wrong with slow injections underwater, even captured injections we have people in that thread wrapping rock in saran wrap underwater, no pumps, and then injecting via syringe into the wrap to hold the peroxide up against the rock target as long as possible before bleed out
but all those methods can't beat the growback prevention of the hard scraped surface with or without a follow up cheat burn.
updated rasping method/scoring the holdfasts with a knife and taking some rock with the scrape deals with roots and holdfasts much better, and by extension regrowth.
we thought years ago lasers would be the new way but if they get any more powerful someone w go blind, laser use for spot control has fizzled out. lasers are so 2006.
