What is the best way to cover up the holes in a reef ready tank? I just bought a synergy reef overflow so they are no longer needed.
I was thinking of leaving the bulkheads in there but I need people smarter then me to tell me the best way

Take bulkheads off, glass glass really good with some kind of alcohol and silicon a piece of glass that is at least 1" bigger that the hole.

So u recomend putting a piece of glass over top it? What thickness would you use?

What would be the problem of leaving the bulk heads in with them being plugged? Would it be because the tank would sit on the bulkheads? Just wondering is all

Guess I'm off to get glass

I too would cover with glass, what's wrong with a plugged bulkhead, I suppose nothing, but if it ever broke it could drain 100% of your tank. If it broke when you had the overflow in place depending on your ATO setup it may or may not just dilute your salinity.
