Im doing a build right now and making some stocking choices. I want a Wrasse that will be a benefit to my system. I'm looking for one that will be helpful in eliminating harmful pests if they ever were to come around. Wrasse are something I don't know a lot about.

The Wrasse does need to be reef safe.

Any help would be great !

6- line would work (though some people report aggression with tank mates when they are older/ full grown), pink streaks are good too and not as aggressive. I'd suggest Melanaurus wrasse -great for going after pests and have always been very peaceful/reef safe in my experience. The fairy's tend not to go for pests if you were wondering.

Possum, canary, and red-line / biocellatus are also wrasses to investigate.

These are good suggestions, minus the sixline.

Imo leopard (my favorite is blue star) or melanarus for pest control, plus they are pretty. Not a fan of sixlines. Only get a leopard if you are willing to get it eating and feed several times per day though.
