Best wrasses for a reef tank

What are some good wrasses to be used in a reef tank that are generally reef safe if not completely and do a job of say eating pests??

The generaof Macropharyngodon, Pseudojuloides, Anampses, Wetmorella, and Pseudocheilinops are all reef safe and will eat some pests.

The smaller Halichoeres species are better pest eaters, but are a little riskier with inverts.

Pseudocheilinus wrasses are good pest eaters, but can get aggressive and aren't to be trusted with inverts.

Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus are also reef safe, but won't eat pests (or other inverts).

Do all of those bury in sand?

Macropharyngodon, Anampses, and Halichoeres sleep in sand. The others make mucous cocoons in rocks to hide.

I agree with leopards and find most halichoeres worth the risk. Hardy additions typically and well worth replacing clean up crew every 6-12 months!

Fairy and flasher are safe as mentioned, generally.
