I think you with anything in this hobby once people find the comfort zone and get the hang of things they will want to advance, learn and try new things. Want to see their aquarium grow and that's the whole idea with a living reef tank. You don't just buy coral and that's it. They grow and you watch them grow. I think people want more than just one fish and for those who don't have the time or money or effort to do so then they get bettas or goldfish
