Better Testing Kit than API?

I prefer Red Sea.

As Paul said, the Red Sea Pro is a nice kit containing the big 3: Alk, Ca, and Mg. For PO4 I prefer a Hanna checker.

Salifert for Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium & Nitrate. ELOS Phosphate Pro for Phosphate.

What I am currently using: Salifert for Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium & Nitrate - same as JimWelsh, but hanna checker ULR for phosphate.

I use Red Sea and API to check it. My API is always exactly what my RS tests give me, so I trust API. Many others, though, I have found don't like it. Maybe it's because the tests are so cheap, so people assume they can't be as good? Or maybe they got a bad kit? Who knows. I would just get the main 3 or 4 from Red Sea and keep the API for the minor tests

Red Sea is has better resolution so easier to catch trends than API. I do have issue with Red Sea alk though as the color change is difficult to catch if you have any orange/red color blindness. For alk I use salifert which has better color change IMO.
